ARTS 114:
Introduction to 3D Design
This taught me about creativity, presentation, structural integrity, and the elements and principals of design.

Paper Sculpture
The goal of this project was to create a robotic character out of paper who has an occupation. The paper sculpture must also use the elements and principles of design. I fulfilled this goal by creating a tap dancing robot, complete with top hat, a cane, bow tie, and tap shoes. My character is meant to seem high class in a creative way by possessing the core shape of a diamond.
Wire Sculpture
The goal of this assignment was to create a wire sculpture of a humanoid figure in athletic action. I worked hard to make a structurally sound sculpture with the realistic dimensions of a person. I completed this goal by creating a volleyball player who is frozen mid serve. She is wearing an orange uniform and has a matching volleyball. She is completely able to stand on her own.

Low Relief
Clap Sculpture
The goal of this assignment was to create a low relief clay sculpture that shows creativity and a master of depth and detail in the clay medium. I completed this goal by creating a Picasso inspired collage type piece with exaggerated facial features and a strong sense of balance and creativity. I wanted to emphasize the presentation of my sculpture, so I found a special wooden plank background.
Antagonist Clay Sculpture
The goal of this assignment is to create a well-crafted clay sculpture of a villainous character that juxtaposes the protagonist sculpture. The character specifically needs to be antagonizing, detailed, and well presented. I fulfilled this goal by creating a clay sculpture inspired by the beast from "Over the Garden Wall". The beast is built like a tall tree with antlers and its chest is covered in the faces of all the children's souls it has consumed. I chose to create him black clay for a more dramatic presentation.
